            FAW’s Hongqi gains best-ever monthly sales in November

            Shanghai (Gasgoo)- FAW Group achieved its highest-ever monthly sales of Hongqi brand with a total of 12,500 vehicles sold last month, a surge of 178% over the year-over period. As of November, 2019, the premium brand has gained year-on-year growth for the 21th month in a row.

            For the first 11 months of the year, the automaker saw the cumulative sales of Hongqi vehicles skyrocket 211% to 88,020 units. Of those, the monthly sales had been exceeding 10,000 units for four straight months from August to November.


            Amid the rising impetus, FAW's also impressed the world with its two all-new models—the S9 sports car and the E115 all-electric SUV—unveiled at the 2019 Frankfurt International Auto Show in September.

            The S9 is the first model of Hongqi's S series lineup. Powered by a V8T engine, the S9 features a maximum output power of 1400 hp and top speed of 400km/h. Besides, the sprint from standstill to 100km/h can be completed within only 1.9 seconds.


            In addition, the Hongqi E115 all-electric SUV, capable of level 4 autonomous driving, has a range topping 600km and can accelerate from zero to 100km/h in just 4 seconds. The launch of the all-new BEV is targeted for next year, according to FAW Group.

            Then, at the Auto Guangzhou 2019 just closed on December 1, Hongqi displayed seven eye-catching models, including the Hongqi E115, the HS7 and the HS5. Particularly, it was the domestic premiere for the E115.

            In spite of such a blooming sales momentum, FAW Group only completed 80% of the 110,000-unit 2019 sales forecast set for Hongqi brand during the past 11 months. It indicates that the automaker need sell 21,980 vehicles to fulfill the target which was disclosed in late November by Xu Liuping, chairman of FAW Group (photo source: FAW Group).
